Miller is a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital. Mrs. Miller is visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller, Jr. in McLean. Among those attending the Shiloh Association picnic Saturday at Chester Gap Mission were Miss Annie Cooksey, Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike, Mrs. W. F. Moffett and Mrs. W. C. Campbell. Mrs. William A. Curtis of Clinton, Md. is spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Racer.
Deputy Sheriff Ernest Lillard has returned to his home after undergoing surgery on his back at Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lillard is recuperating satisfactorily and has partially resumed his duties as custodian at the local jail. B. R. Cox is a patient in the Veteran's Hospital in Washington, D. C. for treatment.
