Eggs Little change is expected in egg prices during the next few weeks; however, long range prospects are more favorable. October production likely will be at or slightly below last year’s level. Potential layers (existing flocks plus pullets not of laying age) are running about 3 per cent below last year's levels, with 13 per cent fewer flock replacements available. Farm prices last week in Virginia were: grade A large mostly 40-41 cents and mediums 35 - 36. Large white eggs in New York were 40 1/2 - 43 cents and mediums 36

Broiler prices are weak, and JSDA has initiated two programs intended to move suralus stocks. These programs will supply aroilers for school lunches, and allow subsidies for exaorts to certain countries. Current broiler marketings are running approximately 12 aer cent above a year earlier -- an all time record high. Supplies will continue at this aigh level well into 1966. Farm prices last week were ■nostly 13 cents in Virginia, and 15-15.4 cents in DelMar Va. North Carolina and Georgia live at farm base evaluations were mostly 12 cents.
