Mr. Buchholz told the session that feed volume amounted to 203,000 tons—a drop of 4,000 tons— for the period and seed volume hit $2,144,000 an increase of 7 per cent for the six-months period. This rise in seed volume was achieved in spite of an extremely dry fall in most of territory. Fertilizer volume stood at 81,300 tons, about even with the same period last year. Farm supply volume was $9,524,000, an increase of 21 percent over the previous year. Mr. Buchholz also reported that petroleum volume for the first six-months amounted to 42,328,000 gallons, an increase of 5 per cent over the same period last year. Eggs marketed for farmermembers showed an increase of $160,000, up 10.3 per cent or 12,910 cases. In quantities of grain handled this was 8,800,000 bushels, an increase of 3,000, 000 bushels over the previous year. The increase was primarily in corn and soybeans.
