Mrs. Bertha Riley is a surgical patient in Fauquier Hoe 'pital, Warrenton. Visiting her Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Smith, Mrs. Jennie Smith, Mrs. Ethel Cooksey and Mrs. John Poe. . James Edwin Green of Washington, D.C. was a weekend visitor of his mother, Mrs. C. M. M. Green. Elmer Jenkins is improving after being sick and unable to work for a week. Miss Landra Dennis, a student at R.P.I., Richmond, spent the weekend at her home here. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Den nis recently visitedMissDen nis in Richmond and also were guests of Miss Mary Hughes there. Sunday they visited Mrs Russell Luttrell in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy and Mrs. A. C. Latham were visitors Sunday of the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder and daughters in Fred ericksburg. Martha Jane Carder is recovering from a recent tonsilectomy. Miss Jacqueline Marlowe of Washington, D.C. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Stanish Riley. Mr. and Mrs. Correze Wise of San Jose, Calif, and Mrs. T. B. Richardson of Fine Creek were guests from Friday until Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph H. Rowzie and family. Miss Linda Rowzie who is employed in Richmond spent the weekend at her home here. Saturday evening Misses Sandra and Linda Rowzie, accompanied by Misses Lois Haley, Frances Tharp and San dra Abell, all of Warrenton, attended the Ice Capades in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Stanley Settle and children spent Tuesday visiting relatives in Madison. Eld. T. E. Majors of Luray was a visitor Saturday and Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Priest. Mr. Priest is recovering from an illness. Mrs. Lee Story entertained with a stork shower Saturday evening in honor of Mrs. Allen Hitt. Attending the firemen’s banquet in Madison Tuesday eve ning were Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Williams, Eddie Lee Flock and Mrs. Charlie Priest.
