Crash Results In

Reckless Charge

A single-car crash last Wednesday night, March 9 on Route 211 two miles west of Sperryville resulted in a reckless driving charge for Clarence Shope of Timberville. Shope was operating a 62 Comet owned by Royal Motor Co. of Harrisonburg when he ran off the left of the road and struck a guard rail, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Shope escaped injury but a passenger in the vehicle, Hunter L. Brown also of Timberville, sustained internal injuries. He was taken to Page Memorial Hospital, Luray by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $600.

County 4-H Supper

Saturday, March 26

The 4-H Club Supper will be held Saturday, March 26 at Rappahannock County High School from 5;30 to 7;30 p.m. Tickets are $1.25. for adults and 75C for children under 12 years old. They may be purchased in advance from any 4-H club member. This is an annual event, sponsored by the county 4-H Clubs, and is their only fund raising project of the year.
