Entrance fees as set forth in the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (Public Law 88-578) to become effective in Shenandoah National Park April 1, were announced by Superintendent R. Taylot Hoskins. Hoskins explained that the new fees are broken down into three categories - daily, 30-day, and annual. They are: Dally- — 506 per person or $1.00 per vehicle and all occupants therein. Hoskins said that it is conceivable that the two types of daily permits could be used in more than one fee area on the same day. A signature will be required. Thirty-day - $1.50 per person or $3.00 per vehicle and all occupants therein. As indicated, these fees are valid for 30 days in only the area purchased and will allow multiple visits during the 30-day period. A signature will NOT be required.
