Milton Clay Gore, Jr. was graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy, Front Royal at commencement exercises held June 5, 1966. He held the rank of Captain and received the Military Award for the best soldier. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Gore of Washington, Va.
HS Commencement
Friday Night
Commencement exercises for forty-eight graduates of Rappahannock County High School will be held Friday evening, June 10, 1966 in the school auditorium beginning at 8 p.m. The invocation will be given by the Rev. William Harrison of Sperryville, followed by the salutatory address by Robert Lee Cooke. A history of the class will be presented by Jimmy Dale Jenkins and Rebecca Louise Rector will tell of plans for after graduation. O. A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools, will award diplomas to the graduates. He will be introduced by Principal H. B. Winfrey.
Edward Page Moffett Will deliver the valedictory address and the Junior and Senior classes will sing "Halls of Ivy". A ceremony in which the Lamp of Knowledge will be presented the Junior class by the Senior class will follow.
The school choir, under the direction of Mrs. John Cargill, will present selections during the program.
