Addition Planned for

Madison Center

Plans for a new academic building for the Madison Center of the School of General Studies of the University of Virginia are nearing completion, and construction bids will be invited this summer, University officials in Charlottesville have announced. The addition will permit the Center to add 100 students to its current enrollment, broaden the science program, institute a nursing transfer program, and permit the reallocation of some space in the present space for student activities in the present building. Plans for the air-conditioned brick addition are being drawn by the architectural firm of Baker, Heyward & Llorens in Charlottesville.
