Miss Diane Bruce returned home Thursday after completing her Junior year at Longwood College. She left Friday for a week’s vacation at Virginia Beach after which she will be employed for the summer at Peoples National Bank, Warrenton. Miss Lee R. Greenaway returned May 25 from Vernon Court Junior College, Newport, R. I. and her brother John Prentiss Greenaway has arrived from Hun School, Princeton, N. J. They will| spend the summer with their; mother Mrs. Gordon John-| stone and Mr. Johnstone at Blue Rock Farm. Miss Anne Dwyer was a guest speaker at the Brotherhood Meeting at Remington Baptist Church on Saturday night and an overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Musselman at Elkwood. G/M Joseph P. Brown of the U. S. Navy was a week-end guest of his aunt Mrs. Jesse Clater. -
Robert M. Menefee has returned to the Lee Highway Hotel after an extended visit to relatives in Richmond. Mrs. J. Rodes Brown was a guest on Sunday of her son-inlaw and daughter Dean and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson at Chowan College, Murfreesboro, N. C. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones and daughter Segar of Washington. Miss Jones returned to the college for the summer session.
David Dwyer spent the weekend with Freddie Schaefer. Sammy Dwyer was the weekend guest of his grandmother, Mrs. D. M. Dwyer. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dwyer. On Sunday Mrs. Dwyer had as her guests Mr. and Mrs. Maywood Cornell of Luray. Mrs. Harvey Gagner and son of Springfield spent the day with Mrs. Margaret Dwyer. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jolliff of Norfolk; and Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, Jr. of Richmond. Mrs. James S. Dickerson of Manning, S. C. is a guest this week of her brother-in-law and sister Mr. andMrs. James F. Smith.
