Affect Hog Vaccines
Regulation changes which prohibit the interstate movement of hogs vaccinated with modified live-virus hog cholera vaccines of porcine origin have been adopted by the United States Department of Agriculture. Changes in interstate shipping rules place this vaccine in the same class as virulent hog cholera virus. Interstate shipment of virulent virus has been prohibited since January 1963. The changes further specify that hogs treated with such vaccines after April 1, 1966, may not be shipped interstate.
