Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Lewis of New York have purchased most of the land of. •Winterton Farm* near Flint Hill, owned by Mrs. Kathleen Voigt, and plan to build a permanent brick residence there in the near future. The Lewis’ bought 275 acres of the 353-acre property. Mrs. Voigt retains her main home, racehorse stables and other improvements and some grazing land. The Lewis’also purchased her entire herd of Angus cattle and her farm machinery. The brick residence to be constructed by Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will contain five or six bedrooms and as many baths, and there also will be a sauna bath and swimming pool. Mr. Lewis is a sportsman, interested in deepsea fishing, hunting, and yachting. Mrs. Lewis is a successful sculptor and Intends to have a small studio in her new home. They have two children, a son and daughter. The son attends Woodberry Forest near Orange. This, as well as their close friendship with Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Parrish of Viewtown, is what first brought the Lewis’ to this part of Virginia, and they fell in love at first sight with Rappahannock County. The sale was negotiated by Edward A. Harris & Associates, Realtors of Huntly.
