"Return to the Source* will be the theme of the Woman's Conference for Arraistead L. Boothe at Williamsburg, June 27th, announced Mrs. Dorothy C. Davis, Distaff Division Chairman, at a press conference in Richmond, Saturday, June 4th. "This will be the first state - w i d e political gathering of women in Virginia interested in moving this State forward”, said Mrs. Armistead L. Boothe, wife of the candidate. It symbolizes the creative approach of Senator Boothe and his desire to open all the doors of government to the citizens.” A unanimous resolution against "hereditary public office* was passed by the Assembly in Williamsburg in 1776.
