Historical Tour

Set for Sunday

An Indian Village, an eighteenth century house, several early nineteenth century struo tures will be on the planned tour Sunday afternoon by the Historical Society. An Eng lish Tea will be served at the site of the Indian Village on Tom Pillars place toward the end of the tour.

Park Ranger James R. Johnson has arranged the first af many planned tours of interesting historical sites throughout the County. This one will start at the Court House not later than2;30p. m. and first stop will be Mt. Salem Church, the cavalcade will move south to Laurel Mills, take in a 18th century house near by. then on to Rock Mills, Cannon's Ford, Fletchers Mill and south into F. T. valley to Piedmont Church and Ruckner’s Mill then to the Indian Village site at Pillars.

Everyone interested in going on the trip - non members are welcomed too - should be prompt on arriving before 2 p. m. at the Court House. Proper dress for the trip should be j|utb,M wouId protect the body from possible ' briars, ana; a cane or walking stick. iNoe much walking is anticipated on this first tour, but tfiiere will be some. Transportation can be provided for those without cars. In case of rain the tour will be postponed until the following Sunday. Special maps of the area made over a hundred years ago will be available to all who wish them.
