With Baccalaureate and exams over, Seniors are preparing to take the "final step". Graduation will be Friday, June 10, at 8 p.m. (Note: All Seniors please attend!) The last assembly was held Monday. During the assembly many students were recognized and honored with special awards. Two daring Seniors, Doris Cooke and Mike Titchenell, were given the "I Dare You* awards. Mr. Boze presented $6 cash awards to these outstanding FFA'ers: Forestry, Billy Johnson; crops, Jimmie Latham; shop, pon Williams; public speaking, Earle Yancey; star greenhand, Kent Henry; star chapter farmer, Don Williams; farm safety; Jimmie Latham; Dekalb award, Don Berry; bowling, Ron Pullen; golden hammer mechanics, Bill Durden; golden hammer farming, Mack Dodson. Also, members of the baseball, basketball, and cheerleading squads, who "lettered' in sports this year, were recognized for their achievements.

Seniors wish to thank the ladies of the Home Demonstration Clubs for the delicious refreshments they served Sunday night after the Baccalaureate Sermon. Attention: Due to the heavy exam schedule, "eliminations’ were canceled this week!! Well, this is the last Panther Tales till Anne Cannon (your 66-67 SCA reporter) takes over in the fall. I certainly have enjoyed writing Panther Tfled }h}8 yqar and want to thank everyone for all the interest and help they’ve given me. Have a great summer!
