Rev. Layman New

Amissville Minister

The Rev. William Anthony Layman has accepted the pastorate of the Little Fork Methodist Charge which includes Amissville, Jeffersonton, and Oak Shade Methodist churches and assumed his duties here Sunday. He is a native of Charlottesville and was graduated from Lynchburg College on June 5 of this year with a Bachelor of Arts degree, ranking in the upper third of his class. Mr. Layman, known to his friends as Tony, is married to the former 'Elaine Funkhouser and they have two children, Tracey Lynn, 5 and Julie Ann 14 months. They are occupying the parsonage at Jeffersonton.

Mr. Layman served three and a half years with the U. S. Air Force, and was employed with Sperry-Piedmont Co. in Charlottesville for 3 years. He is presently attending Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D. C. while serving his present pastorate.
