«Lt. Commander Harold Everett Davis, U. S. NWyiflBi t ired, of Chester Gap died Sat urday, June 25, 1966 inXbe Warren Memorial Hospital; Front Royal. He was 66. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eileen F. Davis, Chester Gap; a brother, Floyd Davis, Spencer, Indiana and a sister Mrs. Harold Nash of Roseville, 111. Born in Potomac, Illinois, Commander Davis served more than 30 years with die (j. S. Navy and federal government service, serving in World War I and World War n and the Korean conflict. He was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan college and New York University. He was a charter member of the Civil War Roundtable Discussion Club of Washington, D.C. and a member of the Giles B. Cook American Legion Post No. 53 of Front Royal. A funeral service will be conducted today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the Fort Myer chapel in Arlington. Interment will be with full military honors in the Arlington National Ceme tery.
