The fun match dog show held Sunday at the farm of Don and Ingrid Strawser at Amisgville was popular with both exhibitors and spectators, drawing entries from three states Included in the entries were Dalmations, Cockers, Beagles, American fox hounds, Afghan^ Shepherds, Great Danes, Boston Terriers, Poodles, Ger. man short haired pointers, Basset hounds and cairn terriers.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Kew of Warrenton showed their Dalmation female to win the best in show silver trophy given by Gay Strawser. She was first in class, winner’s bitch, best of breed and first in the nonsporting group. Only eight months old, Bogay's Hoppy Girl is sired by Colonial Coach Carriage Way, the top producing dog of 1965. The Kew's black Great Dane, Jecamos’ Mai Tai of Auburn Hill, won the Gay Strawser trophy for the best puppy in the show after placing first in class, winner’s bitch, best of breed and first in working group. The Kew’s trophies included the working group trophy offered by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cramer and the non-sporting group trophy given by Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lawrence. The hound group trophy offered by the Don Strawsers was claimed by the Afghan owned by Diana Blanco of Rich mond. Mr. and Mrs. Swanson’s cairn terrier took first place in the terrier group to win the
