trophy, again offered by Don and Ingrid Strawser. the sporting group trophy ot fered by Mrs. Joan Blanco was won by Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lawrence of Culpeper; Culpeper 4-H Club member% trained by Mrs. Lawrence, gave an exhibition in dog care, handling and obedience. Of this group of nine young people enrolled in the 4-H Dog Project, five entered the subnovice obedience trial at the fun match. Mary Williams with her dog Whiskers, was awarded highest scoring junior in the competition and received a trophy. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Williams. The highest scot, ing adult was Betty Nesbit. Sincere appreciation was extended the judges, Mrs. Blancc^ Mrs. Lawrence, Edward Cousins of Falls Church, Roy Lietza of Annandale and Mrs. Edith Smith, Warrenton, for a job well done. Special recognition is given Mr. and Mrs. Lee Story, Mrs. Michael Shealy, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McLean, Mrs. William Carpenter, Mrs. Paul Cramer and Mrs. Gilbert Carickoff for their assistance in organizing the show. Proceeds from the show were donated to the Hope School in Warrenton. The Strawsers were delighted with the large number of entries and great enthusiasm manifested in this first show, and plans are already underway for a second Fun Match in September.
