has recently completed his military duty. Mr. aad Mrs. Richard Bayne of the Culpeper area were guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Settle. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson and Miss Mattie Rector were Wednesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Johnson. Dinner guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners were Mr. and Mrs. James Conners of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cline and daughter Barba, Major and Mrs. Charles Grizzle and family of Fredericksburg. Mrs. James Conners remained for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey were hosts Thanksgiving Day for dinner at the Fire Hall at Brandy. This has been an annual affair there by the combined churches for eighty years. The Winfrey’s guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood and Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance of Sperryville.
