Mrs. Quaintance Hostess At Bridge Party
Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance entertained at Bridge on Friday and Saturday nights at her home in the F.T. Valley. Her guests on Friday evening were Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. G. B. Palmer, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt and Mrs. Henry M. Keyser of Washington, Mrs. Lock Burford of Flint Hill, Mrs. E. J. Haggity, Mrs. Cozy Sullivan, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Lucia Kilby and Mrs. Fred Schaefer of Sperryville and Mrs. Lucille Payne of Madison. High score prizes were won by Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Massie and Mrs. Flynt. Saturday guests of Mrs. Quaintance were Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser of Washington, Mrs. Lucille Payne, John Quaintance of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Brown Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Estes and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey. Prizes went to Mr. Keyser and Mrs. Wood.
Annual Income
Questionnaire to Vets
All veterans and widows who receive non-service connected pension or death pension and parents who receive Death Indemnity Compensation or Death Compensation will receive an annual income questionnaire with the Veterans Administration check for November which they will receive on December 1st. Pension and death pension under both the “Old" and “New" pension laws, and Death [indemnity Compensation ,pr Npeath Compensation for parents are subject to income limitations; and the Veterans Administration checks on income each year by sending an annual income questionnaire card to each individual, who is receiving a check for one of these benefits. Failure to return the annual income questionnaire by January 31, 1967, will cause th< Veterans Administration to stop the benefit check and create an overpayment against the person receiving the benefit. The Veterans Administration may then demanc refund of all of the money it paid for 1966. Veterans and widows who draw benefit checks based on service connected disabilities or deaths are not required to give an annual accounting of their income. These benefits have no annual income limits tions. Also, annual income questionnaires for children receiving death pension have not been sent to recipients since 1964. An annual accounting for children is no longer required. • Edward M.
