Involved in Crash
Amissville Rescue Squad was involved in a collision in Front Royal Sunday evening while transporting victims to Warren Memorial Hospital from a three-car wreck which occurred earlier in Rappahannock County. The patients being transported were not in jured further.
The ambulance, a 57 Ford operated by Mitchell Green and a 1957 Dodge operated by William T. Munch of Front Royal collided at the inter! section of the Commerce Avenue by-pass and Sixth Street. According to Lt. Charles Rutherford of the Front Royal Police Department, the ambulance was proceeding north on the by-pass with red light flashing and siren blowing, and continued through the in; tersection on a red traffic signal. The Munch vehicle goj ing east on Sixth Street, proceeded through the intersection on a green signal. Mr. Munch said he did not see or hear the emergency squad.

The Front Royal Rescue Squid, along with Flint Hill and Rappahannock units which had taken victims from the Ben Venue crash to the hospital, took the persons from the second crash to the hospital. ^
