At the December meeting Friday of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors held Friday, O. A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools, reported that bids for the new elementary school to be constructed between Washington and Sperryville would be received December 13 at the local high school. He also stated that the Forest Grove school building and lot near Viewtown and the W. A. Russell school building and lot at Flint Hill will be sold at public auction on December 17 at the courthouse in Washington, (Tis is advertised elsewhere in this issue).

A delegation from Chester Gap was present to request that a voting precinct be established at Chester Gap. Rest dents from this area presently vote at Flint Hill. Also speaking on behalf of these citizens was P. Lee Thornton of Sperry ville who pointed out that the extreme growth of that area jusified a precinct. The Board agreed to submit a request for an additional precinct to the Rappahannock County Circuit Court for approval.
