town. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins attended the Willis - Rowzie wedding at Amissville Baptist Church. ‘ Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Montague Mrs. T. J. Pillar and Mrs. W. H. Cordle spent the day on Tuesday in Washington, D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Maywood Cornwell of Luray were Sunday guests of Mrs. Sam Dwyer and family. Mrs. D. M. Dwyer had as weekend guests Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Keyser, Debbie and Danny of Winchester. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruce of Front Royal were visitors on Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brown to celebrate Sherri Brown’s second birthday.

The Official Board of the Sperryville Methodist Church met at the home of Mrs. Catherine Brown on last Wednesday night. Those attending were the Rev. Edward Pruitt, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mrs. Nina B. Brown, Mrs. Helen Coffey, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Mrs. James Wayland, Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank, Randolph Devers and Nelson Nethers. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. Recent weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank were Sandra Dee and Mary Corder Hudson of Washington, Va. They were joined for Sunday dinner by Mrs. Dorothy Corder and son Bud of Huntly. Mr. and Mrs. Eubank and Mrs. Helen Coffey and son Frank were supper guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Devers and children, Pam, Dana and Jimmy of Front Royal were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers. David Lyne, a student at the University of Virginia, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne.
