Beauty Pageant
Red Shipley, well known personality on Big K radio, Warrenton, will be master of ceremonies for the beauty pageant sponsored by the Rappahannock Jaycees which will be held Friday, April '1 at the local high school beginning at 8 p. m. Competition will be on a local level and winners will not be required to participate In any other contest, Girls from four to twenty years old will be eligible tc compete and a break dowr of age groups will be »antounced later. Other details of the contest, Including sponsor’s fee, required wearing apparel, and admission will also be announced. Awards will be made In each of the competing groups.
Missionary Meeting
The Sue Slaughter Missio nary Group meets to-night at 7:30 at the Washington Baptist Church. The study will be on Southern Baptist Mission work in the Great Lakes area Classes will be provided for W. M. S. group, Y. W. A. group and G. A. group. There will be no class for Sunbeams A film will be shown following the study class.
Fire Association Meets
The regular meeting of the Rappahannock County Volunteer Firemen’s Association met at Washington, Va. on Feb. 17, 1907. At the conclusion of the business meeting the Program Committee showed a Fire Training Film entitled “Combat* which proved interesting, constructive and thought provoking. The next regular meeting of the Association will be held at the Amissville Fire Department hall on March 24, 1967 at 7:30 p. m. Come and bring a fellow county fireman.
