William A. LUbird

A funeral service was held Friday, February 17 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray for William Ashby Lillard Mr. Lillard died February 14, 1967 at Page Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Born in Rappahannock County he was the son of the late William Henry and SaraK Ellen Nethers Lillard. Surviving are one son and four daughters, William A. Lil lard, jr. of Front Royal; Mrs. John E. Hoak and Mrs. Harold B. Jenkins, both of Lur ay; Mrs Kenneth Burrill of Lexington and Mrs. William Waechter, Long Island, New York; seven grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Harry Lillard, Boston; Carroll Lillard, Washington, D. C.; Henry Lillard, Rapidan; Nethers Lillard, Warrenton and two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Jenkins of Washington, Va. and Mrs. Nellie Naide of Oella, Md. The service was conducted by the Rev. O. L. Martin with interment in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery.
