Yes, the Rappahannock Jaycees want about 60 young ladies as contestants in the second annual Beauty Pageant sponsored by this group which will be held Friday, April 7, 1967 at Rappahannock County High School beginning at 8 p.m., according to pageant chairman, J. B. Willis. Competition is divided into four age groups; 4 through 7 years; 8 through 12 years; 13 through 16 years and 17 through 20 years. The first three groups will appear in street clothes and the other i group will wear evening gowns only. Prizes will be awarded
j in each of the competing age groups with special awards in the 17-20 age group.
Each contestant must be spor sored by a business firm or an individual and the entry fee is $1.00 per each entry. A •! sponsor may enter more than lone candidate, and all entries ! may be registered with Mr, i Willis by calling Sperryville 987-8177. In charge of soliciting spon sors are Wiigon Burke and Jimmy Wayland, both of Sperryville. The deadline for sponsors and entries is March 31. A rehearsal for the pageant is scheduled for Wednesday April 5 at the school at 7:30 p.m. Ticket chairman Garfield Burke of Woodville says tickets may be purchased in advance or may be secured at the door. They are on sale at Sperryville Corner Store or may be gotten from any of the Jaycees. Tickets are $2 for reserved seats; $1 general admission and 50 cents for children.
