(John 3;16) The story is told of a little girl living in a country where the Bible is not freely read who found a scrap of paper outside a print shop. On the paper were the words, *For God so loved the world that he gave...." The other words were torn off, but the little girl began to think about a God who loved enough to give some thing—although she did not know what was the gift. Arriving home, she told her mother that she no longer feared God. The horrified mother demanded to know the source of this strange statement. The little girl produced the scrap of paper with the gracious words. The father and mother wondered what God had given and went to the print shop seeking further knowledge of the gift.
