Two Traffic Crashes

Route 647 near Flint Hill has been the scene of two minor traffic crashes in the past few days. Saturday night, Ronald Archie Jones of Rixeyville skidded on the wet road and slid into a creek. He sustained a lacerated lower lip and nose injury, according to Trooper W. A. Buntln. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $200. Trooper R. M. Dodson reported a two-vehicle collision on the same road yesterday morning, about three miles from Flint Hill. Judd Burke operating a 64 Plymouth Valiant traveling east struck a 60 Rambler station wagon operated by Joyce Welch when the two met on a curve. Mr. Burke wdfe charged with failing to drive to the right of the center of the road, said the officer.
