The basketball spectacular of the year took place at I
|R.C.H.S. Saturday evening | when the new girls’ team took on the school’s alumnae in the first ladies game played here in several years. If you want to know who is fit in the county take a look at the score. The alumnae won 83 to 30. Two people sustained injuries during the game; the first, Charlotte Foster fell and injured hep knee seconds!

The cheerleaders made about $15 from the sale of cookies, cupcakes, brownies and fudge. They will use this ! money to pay for their navy blazers.
Wednesday the Student Cooperative Association held its monthly meeting. The main

on March 17. The party will be open to R.C.H.S. students and student dates from other high schools only. Admission will be given to students who have tickets which they must sign for ahead of time. (Tickets are free of charge.) Decorations will be simple but there will be music, games and refreshments for everyone. Other topics discussed at the meeting were the results of the Sweetheart campaign, an increased number of trash cans for student use, a plan to order an American flag for each classroom, and preparations for our upcoming Easter assembly. Two other meetings held Wednesday were an Annual Staff meeting called in order that its members might have a chance to sort and put away material left from the production of this year’s annual and a Varsity Club meeting for the purpose of deciding how to use the club’s money collected by the members. It was decided that the boys would take a trip to Washington, D. C. later this year to see a baseball game and hold a Varsity Club picnic when the weather is warmer. - Saturday, March 11, Mrs. Magarity’s science class took a field trip to Washington, D. C. for a visit to the National Geographic Society Building. On the way home the group stopped at a MacDonald’s Drive-In to eat.
