Entertains Bridge Club
Mrs. Edward J. Haggerty entertained at Dessert Bridge on Friday night at her home near Sperryville. Those playing were Mrs. I. O. Wolf, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. Cosy Sullivan, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. FredW, Schaefer, Mrs. R. E. Patzig, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen. Prize winners were Mrs. Wood and'~Mr-s. Patzig at Bridge and Mrs. Cordle at Bingo.
In the Service
Army Private David M* Smoot, 20, son of Mrs. peaches V. Foster, Huntly, Va., completed eight weeks of advanced infantry training March 17 at Ft. Jackson, S. C. He received specialized iiv struction in small unit tactics and in firing such weapons as the M-14 rifle, the M-60 machine gun and the 3.5-inch rocket launcher.
