Dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Barron of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Suter and Marlene Cordani. Monday Mrs. Russell Hackley was In Winchester to accompany her granddaughter Edle Mae Hackley for a medical checkup. Miss Irva Poe accompanied by Ronnie Lee Poe and Teresa Poe, children of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Poe and Mrs. Raymond Welch of Arlington attended the circus in Washington, D. C. on Thursday; Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy were dinner guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gouldthorpe at Bealeton. S/Sgt. and Mrs. David W. .Streagie and children Shannon and Marc, who have been living in Jacksonville, N. C. arrived Thursday at the home of Mrs. Streagle’s mother, Mrs. Sarah Latham. After spending a few days here they moved into the house formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Massie at Massies Corner. Sgt. Streagie will attend school at Fort Holabird, Md. for ten weeks prior to leaving with the U. S. Marine Corps for an assignment in Vietnam. Visitors Sunday afternoon of Mrs. Latham and the Streagles were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kephart and Mrs. C. C. Cockerill. Shannon Streagie is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Kephart. Mrs. Thomas Fincham of Falls Church was an overnight guest Saturday of her mother, Mrs. Latham. Mrs. Marion Breeden and family of Fairfax were visitors Sunday of Herbert Lehman.
Mrs. Sarah Latham was at Battletown Inn, Berryville for lunch Thursday and was joined by her sisters, Mrs. W. H. Kephart, Mrs. John D. Peck, Mrs. James Powell and Mrs. H. B. Peck, and their mother, Mrs. C. C. Cockerill, all of Herndon.
