Two collisions involving two vehicles were reported occurring on Sunday in the Sperryville area. On Route 231 seven miles south of Sperryville, Fray Irvin Lloyd of Orange operating a 1956 Chevrolet was struck in the rear by a 65 Buick convertible operated by Clifford Bill Aylor and owned by Forrest Gresham, both of Washington, D.C. Aylor was charged with following too closely by Trooper W. A. Buntin who investigated. Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $150 and to the Buick at $100.
At the west limits of Sperryville on Route 211, two pickups were involved in a crash. A 1963 Dodge operated by John William Judd of Luray and owned by the Government Park Service was struck by a 65-66 Chevrolet pickup operated by James Ashby Atkins of Sperry ville. The Park truck was heading west when the Atkins vehicle heading east crossed into the left lane and struck the right of the other vehicle. According to Trooper W. A.
