A letter from the TownCoun cil of Washington requested that the two mile buffer zone around the town be controlled by the county and that county ordinances apply here the same as the remainder of the county. This zone, set up for expansion of a town, may be under the control of either the town or county.
The Town Council also included a resolution that the Rush River bridge just east of the town be put into the secondary road system rather than torn down.
