Movie on Youth
At a monthly meeting of the Amissville Homemakers Club held Monday night a movie concerning the problems of our Youth today entitled “1 lide and Seek* wan shown. The movie presented a real challenge to the group to increase and improve their outreach to the youth in the community and to improve the individual family life. This informative program, given by Miss Diane Drown, extension Agent, was well received by all.
At the next regular meeting on April I, the group will be working on "tote-bags* made from chair webbing, using crewel embroidery. Thoseattending are to bring scissors, thimble, crewel needle and scraps of 4-ply wool yarn. Anyone interested in learning to make these bags is invited.
A warm welcome was extended to the Club’s new member, Mrs. Richard IMerson, at the Monday meeting. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Wallace Stover and Mrs. James 1 larper.
