Oeorge H. Davis, Jr., Zoning Administrator, submitted a let ter of resignation from that post. He stated he felt there was a conflict of interest since he was involved in the possible location of an industry which would have to be acted on by the Zoning Board. The decision of the Supervisors was that he should step down for this case, but would not accept a permanent resignation. The annual road hearing was set for the April meeting of the Board of Supervisors which will be Friday, April 5. This is a public hearing at which time citizens may air their views, needs and complaints.
The establishment of a Water and Sewage Authority for the county was discussed and the Commonwealth’s Attorney ,was asked to look into the statutory provisions of such an authority. Payment of current accounts was authorized before the group adjourned.
Dance at Sperryville
A dance will be held in the new fire hall at Sperryville on Friday night, March 22. Music will be by the Clark County Ramblers and the dance is sponsored jointly by the Sperryville Fire Department and the Rappahannock Jaycees.
