Red Fox Farm on Harris Hollow Road, owned by the estate of the late Joseph W. Keyser, who was well known to Rappahannock residents as a farmer and apple grower, has been sold. Consisting of about 145 acres, a substantial portion of which is in apple orchards, the land was partitioned for three separate buyers as approved by the Circuit Court in Front Royal. This was done with the consent of all the heirs, including Leslie Fox Keyser, widow of Joseph W, Keyser, who presently resides in Front Royal.
In addition to Mrs. Keyser, the heirs include Mary Gardnei Edmonds, J. E. Keyser, Jr., Anne Keyser Newman, Hampson Keyser, John Peyton Snead III Mary Miller Wood, Annie Millei Almond, Robert Lee Keyser, Jr. Louise Keyser Cockey, Frankie R. Keyser, Katherine Keysei Long, Charles H. Keyser, Nevill Wood Hall, Nancy Wood McCoy Alice Wood Smith, Judge Raynei V. Snead, Marjorie Snead Ruskin Mary Wood Bailey and Frances D Wood. The sales were negotiated bj Edward A. Harris & Associates ol Huntly in cooperation with Joyce R. DeBergh, the listing broker One of the three partitions, £ 33-acre orchard, was purchased directly from the estate with court approval by Edward A. anc Miriam S. Harris. A 38-acre parce and two smaller parcels were bought by Edgar H. Brenner attorney, who owns an adjoining land tract, and Mrs. Edith H Cohen of Washington, D. C. whose husband, Abe Cohen, is i pediatrician, bought a 50-acre tract.

Hampton Inn and Service Station near Washington wai broken into Sunday night or earl) Monday morning. According te sheriff C. K. Estes, cigarets, beer cheese, meat, shot gun shells an< cigars were taken in large numbers. The businesi establishment is owned ane operated by Gibson Wharton.
Sheriff Estes also investigatec another breaking and entering earlier in the week when j powder magazine at the roac construction headquarters at Ber Venue was entered. A case o: dynamite was carried from th< building but only one stick wai missing. S. T. Wootei Construction Company o Stantonsburg, N.C. with Marvii Taylor as superintendent is th< contractor for the road.
