Mrs. C. B. Palmer spent Friday night in. Ashland and attended funeral services Saturday for Mr. Ferrell Luck who died on Thursday. Guests on Saturday and Sunday of S/Sgt. and Mrs. David Streagle were Mr. and Mrs. Aris Streagle and three children Susanne, Merle and Timothy of Seaford. The Streagles’ dinner guests on Monday were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart and son Mike of Herndon and Mrs. Sarah C. Latham. Mrs. Kent Woolfolk of Louisa with two grandchildren Robert Kent Dooley and Anne Gray Dooley of Lynchburg were overnight guests Thursday of Mrs. F. Downing Wood at Sunnyside and Friday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks. Sgt. 1st Class George E. Terry, Mrs. Terry and three children have been spending a two weeks’ vacation with Mrs. Terry’s mother Mrs. Bertha Armel. The second week Mrs. Armel and the Terry family spent in Grand Isle, Vermont, the guests of Sgt. Terry’s parents Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Terry, and touring in Canada. Scoutmaster T. C. Lea and a group of Boy Scouts of Troop No. 64 is spending this week at Boy Scout Camp Rock Enon at Gore.
