first time under the GI Bill should get in touch with his nearest Veterans Administration Office. A veteran who requires another certificate because of a change in program or school should contact the VA Regional Office which maintains his records on file. A veteran who is not changing programs or schools need not obtain another Certificate. Paychecks Shrink This is the week that American across the nation will find theii weekly paychecks shrunken, once again: this time due to the 10 percent income tax surcharge which became effective July 14th. The additional tax must be deducted from paychecks received after July 13, even though the money was earned before that date, according to the law signed June 28. Residents are reminded that this deduction will not cover all the additional tax a person will owe the government by the end of the year, because the surtax is effective retroactively to April 1 for individuals and to January 1 for corporations.
