Miss Patricia Luella Hicks became the bride of Ronald Stuart Dodson on Saturday, July 13, 1968 at two o’clock in the Gourdvine Baptist Church, Rixeyville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam S. Hicks of Bealeton and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dodson of Viewtown.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Milton Switzer before a background of willows, candelabra and arrangements of white gladioli, mums and daisies.
The wedding music was presented by Mrs. W. T. Beales of Culpeper.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Luther Lewis of Leesburg. Her floor-length gown was of white nylon over satin designed with an Empire bodice and long sleeves which came to a point over the wrists. The sculptured neckline was accented with appliques of Alencon lace and floral motifs of the same lace decorated the gown and detachable train which flowed from the waistline. Her pouf veil tfjsilk illusion was attached to s crown »" tape rose petal* embroidered with pearls and she carried a bouquet of white mums centered with red rosebuds.
