Calling All Girls-Calling All Girls-as contestants for the fourth annual Beauty Pageant under the sponsorship of the Rappahannock Jaycees. The pageant this year is scheduled for Friday, April 18 and will be held at Rappahannock County Elementary School, according to pageant chairman Donald Gore.
There will be four age groups in the contest with ages 4 through 7 in the first group. Other classes are 8 through 12 years; 13 through 15 years; and 16 through 19. A first, second and third prize will be given in each of the four groups. The first prize for the three youngest classes will be a $25 Savings Bond. . In the last and oldest class, first prize is $100 cash plus an additional $150 which will be presented the young lady, if and when, she is enrolled in a school or college of her choice to further her education. Should the winner not qualify for the scholarship of $150, it will be available to a runnerup, if and when eligible.
