“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom ol heaven.” (Matt. 5:3) The Bible reveals that all men are poor spiritually until they come to the Saviour and from Him receive a new nature. This new nature is spiritual. It gives inner strength and brings one intc harmony with|pod and with self
The one poor in spirit is blessed because he has come to see his need. Many cannot or will nol recognize this need, and therefore they miss their part in the kingdom.
Folks don’t go to the doctoi unless they are sick nor to Goc until they see the need. But ii seems to me that all of us shoulc be able to see our need of < Saviour. The Bible is so clear - “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.’ (Rom. 3:23)
