some ou men ana Doys, 41 oi them Rappahannock County Boy Scouts, spent last Saturday picking up trash along the roadway and stream banks in the Washington and Sperryville area.
The particular work areas were the portions of the Rush River, North Fork, Thornton River and Piney Branch that are stocked with trout. This effort is aimed toward making these streams more enjoyable for the many local people and visitors to Rappahannock County during the upcoming trout season as well as showing appreciation to the many generous landowners for allowing their land to be used by fishermen.
The Scouts, representing all four Rappahannock County troops, this year, as last, were the main contributors to this, a Rappahannock Jaycees project. The Highway Dept, must also be recognized for contributing a dump truck, and particularly Roy Atkins and Roger Atkins for driving and picking up trash from the boys.
