Clarence Jenkins was transferred Friday f am the Culpeper Memorial Hospital to the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. During the weekend several members of his family visited him including Mr. and Mrs. Larr^ Sheppard and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Reel, all of 'Laurel, Md., Ivan Jenkins of Alexandria and Mrs. Mabel Deal of Sperryville.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph E. Patzig left Sunday from Dulles Airport for Switzerland where they will visit their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Peter Patzig in Geneva. The Patzigs recently sold their home in Sperryville and plan to spend several months in Europe.
Dr. Carroll B. Quaintance returned Friday from a three weeks business trip which took him to France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. Intervening weekends were spent in Karlejuhe. Germany and with his son-in-law and daughter Capt. and Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer in Bruckenaw, Germany.
Snead Christening
The Ministration of Holy Baptism was performed by the Rev. William M. Hargett at Trinity Episcopal Church Sunday for Rayner Yarser Snead, III, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Jr. of Charlottesville, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith and Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead of Washington. Acting as godparents were Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr., Samuel D. Snead and Miss Libby Snead who acted as proxy for Mrs. Lee Dillard.
