Apply Now for Summer Federal Jobs
Rep. John 0. Marsh, Jr., recommends that students hoping for summer jobs with the Federal Government next summer submit applications during this holiday season.
‘‘There is increasing competition for the limited number of such positions available, and the nationwide civil service examination procedure used to fill most of them already is in progress,” Marsh noted.
He said applications must be made under announcement 414 of the U. S. Civil Service Commission on an official application form of the Commission.
‘‘Announcement 414 contains detailed information about the summer jobs which will be available, and it should be obtained by interested students from the U. S. Civii Service Commission, Washington, D. C. 20415,
He explained that applications received by January 9 would bt listed for the examination to be given February 14, and those received by February 4 would be scheduled for the test on March 14. .
