of Lexington was matron of honor and Miss Mary Elizabeth Snead was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Rayner Varser Snead, Jr. of Charlottesville, Mrs. Joan Garber Winfrey of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Hans Wachtmeister ol Staunton.
The attendants were dressed in full length gowns of cranberry velvet trimmed in candlelight lace at the neckline and wrists. They wore varigated holly with cranberry velvet streamers in their hair and carried a basket of holly.
