Pfc Bobby Scott, who has been stationed with the U. S. Army at Fort Eustis, Va., is epending a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott at Amissville. He will report for duty at Fort Dix, N. J. on January 7 and will go to Vietnam in the near future.

Sgt. James Whitmer who has been stationed at Fort Hood, Texas with the U.S. Army arrived Saturday to spend a ten day leave with his mother, Mrs. Charles Turner Haynes and Mr. Haynes. At the end of his leave he will return to Ft. Hood.

In Rappahannock County, there has been a definite increase, since 1960, in the proportion of females - married and single - who are holding down jobs. The 1960 census listed a total of 449 at work, equal to 24.2 percent of the female population over age 14. It has now reached approximately 28.4 percent.
