Pre-Nuptial Parties
For Miss Snead
Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead and Mr. and Mrs. Janies W. Coates of Sperryville entertained at the latter’s home with a party in honor of Miss Dana K. Snead and Eric E. Adamson on Friday evening, December 19 following the rehearsal.
Members of the family and wedding party who attended were Terry Birkel of Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Joan Winfrey of Washington, D. C., Mr. and Mrs. Hans Wachmeister and their daughter, Anne, of Staunton, Mr. and Mrs. Reverdy Jones of Lexington, Miss Addie C. Roadcap of Charlottesville, the Rev. John R. Frizzell of Annandale, the Rev. and Mrs. William Hargett, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nichols and their son, Andy and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer.
Those of the bride’s family attending were Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Jr., Samuel D. Snead, Bill Snead, Miss Mary Elizabeth Snead, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Doran, grandparents, Miss Caroline Doran of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. John R. Ruskin.
Also attending from the groom’s family were Mrs. Rowena Adamson of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Rowena Pennock of New Orleans, La., Mrs. Michael Smith and children of Seaside, California, Mrs. Linda Fieck of New York City and Marque Adamson of Arlington.
Mrs. Reverdy Jones of Lexington and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. entertained at a luncheon at the Davis home in Washington Saturday in honor of Miss Snead and her attendants. Those present were Mrs. Rowena Adamson, Mrs. Rowena Pennock, Mrs. Michael Smith, Mrs. Lina Fieck, Mrs. R. V. Snead, Mrs. W. T. Doran, Mrs. R. V. Snead, Jr., Miss Mary E.
