Dear Santa Claus:
Since you already know, I must admit to having been more bad than good and that I have not always done what should have been done when it needed doing. But Santa. 1 promise to try harder if you will just bring me the following for Christmas:
1. Fifty progressive beef cattlemen with a combined total of 2.500 cows, who will participate in the Rappahannock Commercial Beef Cattle Association (B.C.I.A.). Beef cattlemen who will freeze brand their cows: ear tag their calves; work together in on the farm weighing and grading of their calves and keep simple records. Why Santa, if we could just accomplish this, Rappahannock would develop such a reputation for growthy, heavy muscled calves that buyers would be beating a path to our farms.
2. Twenty orchardists working together to get the best spray information available to all fruit growers in Rappahannock. With these many fruit growers cooperating, we could have weekly twilight, supper, meetings during the critical spring spraying
