chose her to be the vessel which was to deliver the Christ Child into the world in human form. She called the child Yeshua in her native tongue. He was also called the Son of God.

When? Some claim that He was bom in the early spring about seven BC. His star was thought to be the juxtaposition of the planets Jupiter and Saturn. The astrologers, or wise men, knew about this natural phenomenon in advance so they journeyed to the little town of Bethlehem where the alignment between three planets would be most perfect. To them this phenomenon meant the birth of a great leader. They were there to greet HIM. Wise men, indeed. It seems that astronomers could read back among the stars and give us an exact time to celebrate the birth of <Mir Lord.

Why? Why did this great spirit tabernacle for a little while in clay? John 3:16 gives us the answer. “God loved us so much he sent his SON into the world so that everyone who believes the SON will have abundant life.” That’s good enough for me.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
