At district competition, other events of interest will be a wig selection and make-up application by a representative of Merle Norman. The fashion show for the public will begin at 1 pjn. at which time winners will be announced and awards given.
Va. Big Game
Trophy Contest
The State Big Game Trophy Contest will be held in conjunction with the Weston Regional Trophy Contest mis year at Harrisonburg, October 24, reports Contest Supervisor Max Carpenter. The Eastern Regional Contest will be held a week earlier on October 17 in Newport News. All trophies (except bear) must first be entered in regional competition to be eligible for the state contest. Those desiring to enter game should carry or ship them to the proper regional contest where they will be officially measured. No advance entry forms are required, but all entries must be accompanied by the big game tag or an affidavit that the animal was properly checked. The Western contest will begin October 22 at the Fairgrounds north of Harrisonburg. Entries must be submitted no later than noon, October 24, to be eligible. The state judging will take place that afternoon following determination of regional winners. Bear can be entered only in state competition, but regional contests will have classes for deer and turkeys. The Western contest 'is sponsored by the
